Desha Shakthi ( Pvt) Ltd founder has been in business for over 45 years in Sri Lanka and in USA.
He was pioneer in introducing Gem cutting in Sri Lanka in 1977 using machines. The Gem cutting by machine industry was born with that and now about 4000 to 5000 machine gem cutters are in Sri Lanka making a living from this trade.
Also same time the founder started garments operation using 30 machines mostly paddling units and few motor driven Juki Units. As at 1977 The Machine imports was not allowed. The operation that was started today employs over 14,000 works in Sri Lanka although he is not involved in the operation in Sri Lanka from 1987 as he left for USA for USA operation. USA Garment operation was involved in importing sales of Garments in USA from Bangladesh and also raw material supplies from China using his own branches. Still it is going on.
In Sri Lanka new venture have started Importing and distributing Branded Engine oil and also later production of engine oil and Grease in Sri Lanka under the license of Prista Ltd.
We will start importing Lubricants and Greasers from Prista at the start.
We are also finishing our Grease Plant in Yakkala area.
Soon we will be upgrading our grease plant to meet Prista standards and also Sri Lanka Standards. Then we will be making Grease in Sri Lanka under Prista Brand.
We also will start putting up our Blending unit soon. As this is bit complex operation it will take time. This also we will bring to internationally accepted standards and will be making Lubricants under Prista brand and their specks.
We will also plan to put up a testing labs this make sure our quality standards meet EU and Specially API (American Petroleum Institute) Standards.
All the countries and fields we are in operation for last 45 years what we insisted is highest standards and integrity of our name and the brand.
